Description

Inspired by me and my wife having the same favourite ME1 character. Then having to find out about the Liara hatedom. So a little reminder whom all their wives and girlfriends are probably drooling over.

.....I have a fangirl crush on the Normandy and all its tech...... The opening for ME2 is going to KILL me..... Watching clips on You Tube already makes me sad inside..... Actually playing through it? *wince* Ouch.

On a seperate note: Liara is okay, though I'm probably never gonna pursue a romance for the first game. I'm kind of stuck on Tali and Garrus as romance options. Garrus because he cracks me up and I adore his personality.  Tali because she is just so cute. Not physical cute as there is the whole mask thing in the way. As far as build goes.....I'm pretty much asexual and find neither gender particularly attractive. Part of why I like these two so much. Physical appearance does nothing for me, so the only way to attract my attention is through personality. These two have interesting personalities. Liara, Ashley, and Kaiden? Kind of 'meh' personality wise. Other resons why I like Tali and Garrus: they are part of your team from the beginning, they are loyal (big thing with me. Loyalty matters more to me than anything else, really), they are magnificently snarky, and they are your best friends regardless of whether you pursue a romance or not. Love that.

On Twilight: I have never read the books, never watched more than 5 minutes of the movie (my ride was visiting with her friend who was a Twilight junkie and I COULD NOT GET AWAY....it was SO BAD......), and its just a bad story. Bland characters, dubious morals, weak plot........I can find better vampire stories on FictionPress. Also the things she does to the vampire mythos......as a fan of the traditional vampire story (and I am not picky about region. I particularly like stories about Chinese vampires. The jiang-xi are quite fascinating creatures) I find the concept of vampires 'sparkling in the sunlight' just plain insulting. Also there is the whole attempt to sanitize vampires.....the fact that at their core these creatures were always intended to be blood-sucking monsters kind of makes the whole thing rather stupid. I agree with my brother in that I suspect Ms. Meyers was attempting to cash in on the popularity of vampires in general. She seems to have succeeded and I can not for the life of me understand why..... Maybe it because I'm not its target age group, maybe I'm not its target intellectual range, or maybe the fact that I demand a certain level of quality in what I read is why I've mostly avoided the craze. Point is: Twilight can go die for all I care. And so can its writer. Seriously. A meteor needs to peg her in the head or something.
